Bev Hayes, visual artist, photographer and printmaker. Based in Sweden working in the media of printmaking and alternative photography from a studio in Gothenburg. Currently entering printmaking open calls and working collaboratively with fellow printmakers for arts and exhibiting locally and internationally. Continues to deliver workshops in the technique of photopolymer gravure at KKV-Göteborg.
The work explores the vestiges of time, where memory fragments, information erodes, and displacement, shapes experience. Hayes combines analogue and digital processes to create layered, semi-figurative imagery, that blends field notes, journeys and imagined spaces. Multiple plates build textures that conceal and reveal, tracing hidden forms across micro and macro scales. These fractured geographies reflect diasporic memory, shaping identity and a sense of belonging.
